Heather

Question: heather

My heather belongs to the most common type (mauve flowers and green twigs). For a while I noticed that the branches are brownish, my boxes of heather are on the balcony. What does it mean? I want to clarify that while keeping the soil moist, I almost never water it. Thanks for the answer.

Answer: heather

Dear Simona
heather is a small acidophilic shrub, very cultivated in the garden and on the terrace.
It may happen that at the end of the flowering, they will remove the tips of the small branches that carried the flowers.
In these cases, small plants are pruned to remove the withered branches to promote the development of new shoots.
Heather is a plant that loves fairly humid environments, this could be the reason for the desiccation; remember to water regularly, intervening whenever the soil is dry, and avoiding stagnation.
