Question: star magnolia
Good morning, I have a star-shaped magnolia on the balcony in a large vase; I would like to know how to fertilize it: is a fertilizer for acidophiles useful, for example? Given that I believe it is no longer possible to fertilize with a slow-release product (if I am not mistaken it must be done in January / February), now I have to use a liquid fertilizer? Which? How often?
Thanks for your help.
Barbara

Answer: magnolia stellata
Dear Barbara,
your plant is coming out of the vegetative rest, you can now spread it in the slow release fertilizer jar, specific for flowering plants, not for acidophilic plants; the slow release fertilizer is supplied when desired during the year, provided you do not exceed: each administration lasts for 3-4 months, so it is not necessary to repeat the administration very often. If you didn't do it last year, in autumn repot your magnolia, transferring it into a larger container and with good fresh universal soil, lightened with little pumice stone.
It was my error.
